to the forest, and started catching them. The man
bought thousands at $10 and as supply started to diminish,

their effort.

The man then
announced that he would now pay $20 for each  one. This renewed
5 e- d& F6 D+ W8 ~$ fthe efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys
again.   But soon the supply diminished even further and
: V* e2 p, ^4 |& gthey were ever harder to catch, so people started going back to
their farms and forgot about monkey catching. The man increased his
  m8 C: F( o3 Z; `3 I" kprice to $25 each and the supply of monkeys became so
" ?/ f7 g) [9 C+ Y2 u; zsparse that it was an effort to even see a monkey, much
less catch one.

7 X) m" I% C$ D, p3 qannounced that he would buy monkeys for $50! However, since he had to
3 s* i' i: r" Wgo to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy on his
behalf.

7 I! k( G: K6 d9 X/ k+ i5 rwas away the assistant told the villagers. 'Look at all these monkeys
! B& v. j' r# r) \% W' y1 l3 l# Rin the big cage that the man  has bought. I will sell them to
7 L+ j& l# n8 L% f/ ^" z: dyou at $35 each and when the man returns from the city, you can sell
them to him for $50 each.'
